A Mississauga woman has been charged in relation to a multi-vehicle crash that took the life of a year-old Beamsville boy last month, Ontario Provincial Police OPP said Friday. The OPP tweeted that the unnamed year-old female driver had been charged with dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm, in relation to a collision that took place on the Queen Elizabeth Way highway at around p. A year-old boy from Beamsville has died following a three-vehicle, chain-reaction crash late Thursday afternoon in Niagara Region, police say. The collision happened at around p. Schmidt said paramedics and firefighters removed one of the boys who was stuck in the back of the white SUV and rushed him to hospital with serious injuries. The driver who initially rear-ended the vehicle with the mother and two boys inside was uninjured, Schmidt said. The QEW was closed for several hours as police worked to piece together exactly what happened and crews cleaned up the mess. The highway has since reopened.

The year-old mother and the year-old Milton woman were both taken to hospital as well but with minor injuries.

A year-old boy from Beamsville was killed in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction crash on the Niagara-bound QEW on March Thomas had to be removed from the SUV by emergency crews and was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. He died later that evening.
