Researched, but after reading everywhere online, saw that this was about normal for a Kia, so I just kept adding. I think about 1 quart every miles, but I never measured accurately. I did notice the spark plugs were getting nasty.

Oil Consumption-Oil burning in the engine. Kia acknowledges that there is a known issue however; the solution would cost me to fix, and its not guarantee. Their solution was to buy a new car, which is not an option for me or allow the engine to crash so it can be replaced fully, which makes no sense. With so many complaints on this, unsure why they don't have it on a recall. I am exhausted in fighting with them and the Kia Customer Care line has stopped responding to my inquiries. I just need some help in helping to get this resolved. It is stressing me out. Thank you in advance. I am the current owner of a 2. Last November , at K miles, my service center advised me that when they changed the oil, it was very, very low. After confirming it myself, I took the vehicle to my Kia dealer at K. After three oil consumption tests they confirmed this vehicle was burning oil approx.
A car with low miles seems to not have the issue, and one with higher miles seems to develop it. Chrisxgordon answered 4 years ago.

Nothing but Mobil 1 full synthetic in this Kia since new. I'm over it. Vehicle was going dead every miles. I have KIA Sorento with 96, miles. This car is a lemon. If you don't it will definitely blow, but you take a chance that theyll find a reason not to fix it. Its to the point that I am putting 2 quarts in every other day. I'm currently going through the oil consumption test with my Kia Sorento. Chris answered 4 years ago. I'm sure there are manufacturing tolerances. Service department told me to put oil in and keep checking. My car is still in their lot and I am soooo mad! Last November , at K miles my service center advised me that when they changed the oil, it was very, very low. I have a Soul with miles.
Nine problems related to engine burning oil have been reported for the Kia Motor Sorento.
Or somehow this engine is vaporizing an excessive amount of oil into the lower end that was ending up via the old PVC system hitting the intake. SB answered 4 years ago. What I don't see is anyone talking about trying a thicker viscosity oil, like maybe 5w30 instead of the 5w It's very frustrating and nobody helps you out and no matter how many different places you call you get the same answer I'm not responsible there's nothing I can do we have no control over it it's so on and so forth. I don't think I should have to go through another oil consumption test my car is still running rough and they're also not considering the fact that the car is running out of oil before and you're running at thousands of miles that way so you have sludge oil going through your system and damaging that. Vacuum would be higher in the intake when the throttle body is closed, but the OCC was also filling up with oil while driving on the interstate. We bought a new Kia Sportage with the 2. The oil light comes on around the time it is time for a oil change. I called Kia and they said to get a second opinion. My repair shop did not even put in any system that they put an engine whether it be manufactured which mine supposedly is what partial engine they did put in. We have taken it twice to have them check at miles. Service department told me to put oil in and keep checking. I should also mention that when it's down on oil, I top it off with 10w I will check it more often on this synthetic oil and see if it makes a difference??
I like this idea, I completely with you agree.
Between us speaking, in my opinion, it is obvious. You did not try to look in google.com?
