Hello, I figured I would post this in both the crf and kxf forums hoping some of the crf and kxf riders had ridden both and maybe could give a real life comparison. Price is close enough to not matter. For kicks I took my kx woods bike to the mx track a few weeks ago and had a blast. Thanks for any help, response or info. Wow, I thought for sure there would be at least a few KX riders telling me why the KX is the better bike?

There is no guarantee that Kawasaki will offer a total remake of the KXF next year, but there is evidence to suggest it. In , Kawasaki introduced an all-new KXF. It was redesigned from the ground up. It was lighter, thinner andvastly improved. Based on history, it is logical to assume that the same chassis, engine and cosmetic changes will be made to the Kawasaki KXF in Hold on to your hat. Back in the KXF was new from the ground up, blowing its competition out of the water. But, what the KXF did much better than its competition was produce the best powerband. It was unblemished, raw power to the ground. In Yamaha released its fuel-injected YZF. It stood toe to toe with the KXF—although, in its first production year, the YZF went through its teething stages. The Kawasaki KXF eked out a slim shootout victory over the new Yamaha based on power versus suspension. It was the same bike that we had loved three years ago, but now we just liked it. It was no longer the most powerful four-stroke on the track KTM and Husky jumped over the green machine by almost 4 horsepower. That left the KXF on the back burner.

The only engineering upgrade was the move to a stronger, more durable bolt at one location inside the engine cases, Other than that, the KXF receives a slightly different shade of green on the various anodized plugs and other parts that dress up its engine, a rear fender that is now green instead of white and a remarkably subtle change to the graphics on the radiator shrouds. But despite its lack of improvements, the KXF is still a competitive machine. In fact, we expect to see a lot of them getting hammered around motocross tracks all over the U. The heart of this little green beast is still the product of a considerable championship pedigree.
