Let the oil completely drain out then put in 5 quarts of oil instead of 6 to take my reading. I went ahead and filled the used oil that was in the drain pan into the 5 1 quart bottles. To my surprise the entire pan emptied into the 5 1 quart bottles. I go to check my dipstick and the oil is reading right at the max fill line.
