Choose from soups, salads, frittata, sandwiches, and traditional British favourites including sausage rolls, pasties, and steak and ale pie. Reservations are strongly recommended. Our British market has a fab selection of imported groceries and house-made entrees. We also carry lovely tea gifts and accessories, plus over 50 different loose leaf teas. Finally, we know how to throw a tea party! We can prepare the food for you to pick up — from tea sandwiches to traditional English scones to petit fours. Or, our expert and gracious staff can bring the tea part to you with our Full Service Catering. This was one of my top favorite tea houses. They have a nice gift shop with British Merchandise and teas. High Teas was great, the food was fantastic, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone had a good time. The staff were very attentive-and made sure we had everything we needed.

Dishes, table-to-table, are mismatched. At its heart, A Taste of Britain is a tea room. The menu is full of traditional English specialties as well as soups and salads. They even have coffee. My husband loves the beef cottage pie.

I have been to TOB four times. The first three experiences during the weekday were lovely. Our last experience in the Spring of , was on a Saturday and was disappointing.

Decor was pleasantly informal and welcoming. It doesn't have an attitude. Peach coloured with wonderful floral designs. It was such a lovely, relaxing and pleasant experience for us all. One11 oz Jar of delicious lemon curd, imported from England. The food selection is very good when compared to other tea rooms I've visited. Yes parking is difficult but this is a nice place for high tea. We have a variety of floral pattern teapots available, the photo shows examples of the types of tea pots you might receive with your order. The sandwiches were average and not very interesting. A Taste of Britain has been delighting customers on the Main Line for almost 30 years. I also like that they offer a gluten-free afternoon tea option so that everyone can partake. Traditional tea sandwiches. Our waitress completely disappeared after delivering our food; we didn't even have a fork or knife to use on the scones or mini desserts! A crowd pleaser!
