She is a human girl, which causes her to stand out greatly from many other Kirby series characters, particularly due to the fact that she stands at roughly twice the height of Kirby. Her name is a Germanization of the French "Adeline", which is diminutive for "Adele" nobility. Adeleine is not native to Popstar, having come from another world to study art. Being a young painter girl, Adeleine is not particularly hardy of constitution, and prefers to avoid fighting whenever possible.
