I learned to embroider when I was a kid, when everyone was really into cross stitch remember the '80s? Eventually, I migrated to surface embroidery, teaching myself with whatever I could get antique pattern library hands on All Rights Reserved.

This ongoing project is an effort to scan craft pattern publications that are in the public domain, to preserve them, so we can keep our craft heritages in our hands. Most of these scans have been graphically edited to make the images easier for craft workers to see, and to reduce file sizes. They are available, for free, to anyone who wants them, for educational, personal, artistic and other creative uses. Small stapled 12 page booklet, covers included. One page 6 of actual instruction, all others about how to order wool, special offer packages, testimonies of customers, offers of employment and other advertising content. No publication date or mention of copyright, but customers are referred to as ladies which indicates an early 20thC date at the latest. Also an inlaid leaflet, blank on one side, showing a knotted rug.
