The manga was adapted into two anime television series by Sunrise. The second series, Inuyasha: The Final Act , is a direct sequel that adapts the remainder of the manga. While Kagome manages to temporarily fend off the centipede woman, it's a reawakened Inuyasha—a half-human, half-dog-demon boy—that finishes it off.
