Much like Feeding Troughthe Tek trough can hold almost any type of food for any tames.

So I was experimenting with the new Tek Trough to see how much more efficent it is compared to its old counter part and I was severly unsatisfied. It can only hold 40 more slots compared to the regular feeding trough and just refridgerates it. Sounds good right? Not so much considering you need a tek generator and spare element to run it. Better yet, you can't even put wyvern milk in it!

Much like Feeding Trough , the Tek Trough can hold almost any type of food for any tames. Any and all foods can be placed in the trough at once, so Berries , Meat , and so on can all be mixed together to feed all types of tames. It can also be used to craft Iced Canteens and Iced Water Jars , however be careful if you have Gachas , as they will eat them quickly since they have a very low nourishment value and will thus be prioritized by it. Including Waterskins and Tek Canteen , even thought they don't function with it. Food placed in the trough while powered has its spoil time multiplied by same as the Refrigerator. The Tek Trough must be powered by the Tek Generator , otherwise food inside will spoil as if a survivor was carrying it and not as a normal Feeding Trough would. Furthermore, the total amount of food that can be stored inside is stacks, while the refrigerator holds only The Tek Trough allows tames to feed within a cubic range of 11 foundations horizontally and 17 walls vertically from the point of placement.

Food placed in the trough has its spoil time multiplied by 4, just as it would when carried by a dino.

By Grandta , May 13, in General Discussion. I'm a solo player on PvE and Tek troughs are a god send. Kinda varies depending on how many of what you are breeding. Assuming you return every 8 hours for care and refill. I have two going at the moment and was thinking of going for between of them. That was on the bases of 2 Rexes to 1 Tek trough. I personally would try but idk. You can fit some 20 throughs or perhaps more around a genny on lowest, perhaps double it by raising genny up a bit and do several layers of throughs.

Why would you expect it to hold more than 40 more slots than a regular trough? I use gigas and mosas as example, because they eat a lot, and take the longest to raise.
