Luckily i have access to each map,but for the people who dont the center is really lagging behind in terms of the tek weapons and structures. Now with this new ascension being released the characters will be even more advanced,i know its only a few more levels but it does make a difference. The centre will add all that content, but the island will always have less metal, obsidian, and crystal, less strong Base locations and way less high level dinos to tame. My tribe was alpha on an island server, before being wiped and moving to a center server. Honestly, I'm glad we was wiped. The center is great, lots of resources and it is very scenic with lots of good base locations to match each play style. Imo The Center is like a player-made map. With ressources slapped all over it and with focus lying on visuals rather than functionality in a survival game. Oh snap. I prefer the center over the island myself. The area is far bigger and had more personality.
