Pregnancy and breastfeeding have left my once very-small-but-at-least-existent boobs as tiny folds of skin with nipples on. I want comfort but also some shape under clothes, so I think padding is essential. Ideally nothing too high at the front so I can wear low necks. And preferably something I can buy online and be reasonably confident it will fit, as the thought of trying things on in a changing room fills me with horror. Any recommendations for the boobless, please?

Bras can be so tricky to get right - I wanted to see which stores had the best offering. Since lockdown I have become admittedly lazy with my bra-wearing. Not only do I mostly choose a bralette over anything structured, I often do not wear one at all when sat at home. Without revealing my exact size, having googled the average bust for a woman in the UK 36D I am just below. Of course this grants me the ability to be a little more lenient with my bra-wearing which those with larger boobs do not have the privilege of. It is just so comfortable and even on the odd occasion I treat myself to new bras, I always revert back to it. For those lifting their fingers to comment about hygiene, I do wash it regularly. However it got me thinking. Must we, as women, endure a life of uncomfortable, jabby bras after two years of minimal bra-wearing? There must be a better verb for bra-wearing. Bralettes are surely the best alternative, but often unsupportive enough for day to day life. Bralettes are lightweight bras without the underwire, usually seamless, and primarily designed for comfort. I would never think to buy underwear from Primark, deeming the budget highstreet brand poor quality.

I bought myself 3 over the head bras but I actually had no problem putting my usual under wire bras back on. I know we are all different but I was lucky, I am quite voluptuous in that dept so was glad I could wear my usual bras. Thanks for your reply to be honest I struggle getting my current bra on so I definitely think front fastener. Did you find it ok putting it over your head? I'm struggling to remember if I just put my hands behind me and fasten it from behind as I do now or fasten it at the front then twist it around. I never needed to put it over my head. The ones I bought had no fastening they were just pull on but I never used them - they went to the charity shop.
