Beginning Fall , this date is the same as the drop deadline for classes offered in Sessions A, B and C. If you owe any university charges, they will be deducted from your refund and be subject to payment holding periods. Withdrawal or cancellation officially occurs on the calendar date that you request it, whether in person or online. Please note that if you cancel your enrollment after the refund period, you will be required to pay the tuition and fees charges. For regular semester classes session C and sessions that are eight weeks or longer, the percent refund period extends through the first two weeks of the semester. For sessions that are shorter than eight weeks sessions A and B and dynamically dated classes, the percent refund period is one week after the semester begins.

The actual time that your census date occurs depends upon your class schedule. Your awards were originally offered based on full-time enrollment in both the fall and spring semesters. Up to your census date for the fall or spring semester, your disbursement amounts will fluctuate according to the award proration rules below. Dropping credits after your awards have been disbursed including direct deposit may result in a bill. Census enrollment figures will determine your final semester disbursement amount. Adding classes after your census date for the semester, even if they begin before your census date, will not change your prorated award amounts. If you withdraw from all of your courses in a session or all of your courses in the entire semester, our Withdrawing as a Financial Aid Recipient policy will apply. If you consider dropping from a class or withdrawing, we recommend you consult with a financial aid representative to discuss your options. The financial aid funds you received for the semester were based on the amount of credits you were enrolled in at the time of disbursement. A complete session withdrawal from the university can be a difficult decision and could result in serious academic and financial consequences. We encourage you to discuss a potential complete session withdrawal with an academic advisor, by scheduling an Academic Advising Appointment. Tutoring centers provides a variety of services to help students become better learners and gain the confidence and skills to achieve their academic goals. Counseling and mental health services are provided at each of the four ASU campuses. ASU students may seek services at any of the campus counseling centers, regardless of their college affiliation. A mark of "I" incomplete may be given by the instructor when students are otherwise doing acceptable work but are unable to complete the class because of illness or other conditions beyond their control, if approved.
