Wednesday newsletters always feature a hotel or flight review. One of the legs involved a short journey onboard a British Airways A narrow-body aircraft from London to Brussels, ba a320 interior. Have you ever been in a go-around? If so, what was your experience?
Updated: Feb Outside of meal service, Covid protocols and Wi-Fi most is still accurate today well outside of those there isn't much left ;. Most of the photo's I will include will not be from the initial flight, but from more recent flights. I will keep the information as it relates to Prague as that is still accurate, plus their service in Club Europe is the same throughout Europe except Moscow, if that ever returns. There is a dedicated line for Club Europe and Executive Club elite members at PRG as well as other airports which made check-in quick for my mid-day flight.

Club Europe has some differences on this service so I thought it would be worth a quick review to look at these and the onboard service which also changed a few months ago. Hence you will notice a lack of photos from the airport! The lounge at Hamburg was pretty average. It was busy when I was there and is a shared third party lounge. If you want to work there are lots of individual desk areas which is handy with power at desk level. The food and drink was fairly limited at lunchtime with some sweet and savoury pastries, potato salad and some breakfast bits. There was of course beer, wine and a few spirits. Boarding was a bit of a mess with it not clear where each queue started. Once they called group 1 I had to fight my way through and then they announced group 2 without even pausing for breath. This led to a surge of people trying to board.
The seats are ok but more in the bad side. The food was pretty dull if you travel BA a lot and the crew mediocre.

The Club Europe seats are standard Euro Traveller seats with the middle seat blocked off. This plane has a movable divider between the Club Europe and Euro Traveller sections, so many configurations are possible.

The British Airways Airbus A features seats in a 2 cabin configuration. Economy has seats in a config; Business class has 16 seats in a config; this is pretty standard for these aircraft. Legroom-wise, the Economy pitch of 76cm 30" is average, the Business class pitch of 76cm 30" is average, though of course what that means for you depends on how tall you are!

I would also like to add that Seatguru has lost its credibility and I will no longer trust them when choosing a seat. Seat 8f on return flight from heathrow to oslo. Free Wi-Fi was also available. Seat 1 F is a standard Euro Traveller seat that has been converted to a Club Europe seat by blocking out the middle seat. Knees smashed against the seat in front of me. If you want to work there are lots of individual desk areas which is handy with power at desk level. Hence you will notice a lack of photos from the airport! Much narrower and closer than US counter parts. The seats in Club Europe are almost the same as the previous iteration with a couple of notable exceptions on the neo. Seat 4 A has extra legroom and width. This is A disgrace. The A's overhead is a little less generous agent in MUC tried to discourage a member of my party from carrying on a small roller-board - it fit no problem and the new A's overheads while generous, are not as large as American Airlines new overheads where you can place your bag on its side, thus fitting way more bags. The majority of my flights on British Airways in Club Europe have been enjoyable. Leg room is a major issue and BA have made matters worse. Very poor value for money; unless you must fly to Heathrow, avoid this airline.

This entire plane is economy spacing. It is forward of the seat, so you can still see our, but it reduces shoulder room and makes the window seat uncomfortable. Have you ever been in a go-around? Fine for legroom, but bothered by those waiting for the toilet. As a person that likes hot meals this was disappointing, but within the last week or so May I have seen people post on social media a nice Braised Beef dish with Mashed Potatoes to Warsaw and a Fish to a destination I can't remember but was less than 2 hours from Heathrow. Next time will try another airline. Finaly, being in the centre of the plane, you are the last one to be served so there may be cases where your choice is limited.
