Baldurs gate fighter/mage
Anabella doki can dual-class this combination as well with the sufficient stats. As a fighter, the character benefits from high Hit Dice baldurs gate fighter/mage, low THAC0multiple attacks per round, advanced weapon proficienciesand access to all kinds of weapon, armor, and shields. This enables the character to act as a frontline melee character, though it will never be as good as a pure fighter in that respect. As a mage, the character has access to higher lore and arcane spells, baldurs gate fighter/mage.
July in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition. Hey y'all! I'm having trouble deciding weapon proficiency, I started off with two pips in two weapon fighting, two pips in scimitars, and am wanting to add some into warhammers at some point. The issue I'm facing is that I don't know when or how many to add into warhammers. Should I start adding Warhammer proficiency pips at level 3?

But it seems that the 2nd best is often the most up for debate - and it's this debate that interests me most : EDIT: Guys - I think people are overanalyzing this WAY too much. A guy or gal who can wield axes and two-handed swords like Conan and cast spells. Don't overthink and overanalyze ;P. Last edited by gregorsamsa ; 25 Apr, pm. Showing 1 - 15 of 71 comments. In TOB especially enemy mages are real assholes in that they cast dispel magic and breaches like there is no tomorrow.
As a fighter, the character benefits from high Hit Dice , low THAC0 , multiple attacks per round, advanced weapon proficiencies , and access to all kinds of weapon, armor, and shields. This enables the character to act as a frontline melee character, though it will never be as good as a pure fighter in that respect. As a mage, the character has access to higher lore and arcane spells, although access to high level spells is only possible at the end of Baldur's Gate II. This means the player will require a thorough knowledge of the tactical applications of their spells if they are to act in that capacity. Also, the player should keep in mind that they are unable to cast spells while wearing any armor with few exceptions , which can conflict with the fighter's preferred role. As a unique downside, they cannot ever reach level 9 spell slots without modding the game to remove the 8,, experience cap, and therefore cannot take most of the High-Level Class Abilities of the mage class. As a thief, the character has access to higher lore, thieving abilities and backstabbing.
I often choose half-elves as PC rather than an elf because of their bigger stature. Elves have such a tiny avatar, it doesn't befit my idea of a mighty bhaalspawn. On the other end of the spectrum I find the human avatar far too bulky-looking for my liking if I choose to play as a mage or rogue especially human bards look ugly , so that's another reason to pick half-elves. Thus, mostly for esthetical reasons, it's my favourite race! I make the race choice based on RP or class I want to play , but essentially I'm never a pure elf since I like Viconia. I agree that the human avatars look too bulky for some classes, but it's an easy fix. With the avatar morphing script you can look the way you feel you should look. Normally I wouldn't be an Elf either, because I'm a sucker for Constitution. They're for support, shooting lots of arrows, buffing people, and throwing the odd magic missile or what not.

Nazad : The problem is, that also the con bonus is "shared" for all classes, which are present in ones multiclass-setup. In the triple-case I'd go definitely for I don't think you're calculating the HPs correctly there. You don't lose any of the bonus HPs from constitution due to round off though. Holy Power doesn't give you the attacks per round of a fighter of equivalent level.

Thanks for the reply! I've heard that a Fighter-Mage Dual Class is a particularly strong combination, so I'm probably going to choose that. Wisdom will be 18 after the 3 tomes of wisdom for Wish, and cha will be easy to boost with equipment, potions, and Friends spell important for SoD where you get frequent stat checks. Note: Max HP are shown without any constitution bonuses. I was amazed of the damage output, and the one-hit kills. It will certainly be weaker than a comparable melee character in nearly all respects for most of SoA and ToB, though.
Try it and hope you have fun! As a fighter, the character benefits from high Hit Dice , low THAC0 , multiple attacks per round, advanced weapon proficiencies , and access to all kinds of weapon, armor, and shields. If you haven't experienced this yet, you should. Dragons Time Stop and hack away. In BG1 I took Imeon along early on for her charisma to get better prices and reactions for example to get 6 antidote potions from Landrin. Also you spend early BG2 as a mage, where being gimped doesnt feel so bad imo. As a result, fighters may do more damage and hit more often with weapons from the specific proficiency. After that you can hack again. Both starting the saga from BG1 or starting from SoA I personally think that to roll a lot of time to get some points of exceptional STR is a waste of time. Philosopher 10 years ago 1 I finally have a copy of Baldur's Gate, and Dungeons and Dragons is almost completely new to me. It will be more a subjective satisfaction as the impact on the game will be far from game breaking playing with full party, with small ones or soloing you reach the cap well before so you can benefit from the 2nd GM for a relevant part of ToB. This means the player will require a thorough knowledge of the tactical applications of their spells if they are to act in that capacity.
It is more than word!
In it something is. Many thanks for the help in this question. I did not know it.
