If I enjoyed 75 percent of a game, I can forgive the other, crappier, 25 percent. Yup, this is some Bayonetta bullshit. Bayonetta as a game series is kinda like the later Fast and Furious movies. Number one: family is everything. And number two: there is a basic formula that will, from time to time, be thrown out to do something absolutely wild. Kinda like how Fast and Furious went to space that one time. And because the developers lean into it, never taking things too seriously, it works.

It is the third entry in the Bayonetta series, following Bayonetta 2 in and was released on October 28, In another world's Manhattan, an alternate version of Bayonetta is engaged in life-and-death combat with a mysterious entity that demonstrates the power to warp reality. Meanwhile in the Manhattan of the Main Universe, Enzo is complaining about how he just lost out on making it to the opening day of a baseball game because Bayonetta needed him to be her chauffeur to meet "someone". She has Enzo drop her off at a cruise ship where she believes that the person she has to meet will be present, and not long after she leaves an unconscious Viola falls out of the sky into his car. She stirs just long enough to demand that Enzo bring her to Bayonetta.
