This is the first season produced by Hasbro under their Allspark Pictures division, who acquired the franchise from Saban Brands following the finale of Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel. A secret agency known as Grid Battleforce combines a newly discovered substance called " Morph-X " with animal DNA to create its own team of Rangers, who are tasked with fighting an evil sentient computer virus known as Evox. Originally known as Venjix, he is from another dimension and is bent on taking over the source of all Ranger power, the Morphin Grid itself.
