There are now between eight and ten teams that will be starting a second-string or third-string quarterback. When it comes down to it, this week is going to be a big test for whether you lean towards trusting the matchup or the quality of the defense. BOD is meant to tell us who the best fantasy defenses are, but depending on the matchup, they might be ranked differently in a given week. The rankings will take into account their BOD ranking, opponent, injuries, weather, etc. What a weird first tier this is.

We go from no teams on bye in Week 8 to another bye week, this time with four teams getting the week off. It is a relatively bad week for fantasy defenses with some of the better teams in bad matchups, but there are some solid streaming options with low-rostership teams in good matchups. This is one of those weeks where the rankings look strange at first glance. At least they did for me, because some of the typical top defenses are lower down this week, either because they have been underperforming or face a tough matchup. Week 8 was another chaotic week.
