The Bianchi Folgore is one of the most icon racing bicycles ever manufactured. The Folgore appeared in the Bianchi catalogue between and and was ridden to victories by Fausto Coppi at the Milano-Sanremo and at the Giro d'Italia. The Bianchi Folgore is a lightweight frameset which illustrates particularly refined details like the headtube with integrated headset common to all Bianchi racing bikes of that era , chromed lugs and fork crown , seat-tube mounted chain oiler and bottom bracket with integrated oiler. According to the serial number this Bianchi Folgore dates back to late 40s. The bicycle underwent a professional refurbishment to be brought back to its former glory. Regarding the components, this Bianchi Folgore is equipped with a Campagnolo Cambio Corsa gearing system, Bianchi crankset, stem and bars, Universal brakes, Brooks leather saddle. Whitish residue on chain stay looks weird along with the gap where the dropout slides into the seat stay. In the pic they're both black in 89, but the 90 looks more grayish. The logo is missing. Almost looks like someone used JB Weld or something to secure it. It is almost impossible to tell the difference between the Chorus and Athena seatpost because they are the same post. When I look at the catalog there seems to be only one difference in The frame between superleggera and giro. What about the headset can you tell of its chorus or athena? Also the itm stem seems to look more like the superleggera than the other 2 in color. According to the serial number this Bianchi Folgore dates back to late 40s. Just bought a second vintage classic bike from Steel Vintage. I agree with the terms and conditions.
