Unless NCsoft is doing some mumbo jumbo, then yes, all signs except their word for it point to at least some EU servers still being located in the US. This misunderstanding is due to a common error users are making when testing their connections, they see a connection to an authentication server and assume it is also the game server. All EU had to wait hours in the middle of the day for that. Can you guys do anything right?

The server you're seeing in Austin is the login server, it has no effect on your in-game latency. So if they are in Frankfurt I would have ping tops , which judging by the gameplay isn't true.

You do realise it would be physically impossible for someone playing in Germany to have an in game "ping" of 50 to 70ms if the servers were actually in Austin Texas right?
