Blair Flannigan , known as Rei Saotome in the Japanese version, is a minor student and the only female in the Slifer Red dormitory. Initially, Blair was a minor character appearing in standalone episodes in the first season, but after she proves her worth as a Duelist, she joins the central cast at the beginning of the third season. When first introduced, she wears a standard Slifer red jacket and boots, with gray pants that end at her ankles. To hide her hair, she disguised herself as a boy and wore both her large hat and orange bandana in clips. When Blair returned near the end of season 2, she was disguised again, as she still used a bandana and she wore a Kabuki mask. She currently wears an orange sleeveless shirt under a dark blue and aqua version of an obelisk blue jacket, paired with blue jeans and lilac boots. Starting in season 3, Blair's main outfit is an orange shirt, a Slifer vest, black shorts with a brown diagonal belt, black socks that fall just above her knees, and newly designed Slifer boots.
