The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma is an intensive two year course that covers fundamental aspects of Musical Theatre training and performance, delivered by knowledgeable and experienced staff in state-of-the-art facilities. You will develop skills in all three disciplines of dance, acting and singing as well as gaining understanding of the musical theatre industry. Throughout the two years you will be challenged to develop your personal and creative potential alongside acquiring the technical and interpretative skills required for performance. Areas of training include: vocal techniques, music theory, acting techniques, devising, directing and storytelling, jazz and movement techniques, choreography, rehearsal and performance skills and etiquette - all leading to the creation and presentation of musical theatre and variety performances.

The applications round for September entry will open from 1st October onwards. Birmingham Ormiston Academy is celebrating a decade of success as it marks its 10 th anniversary. First performed at The Old Rep theatre in December , the special recording will be made available to primary and secondary schools across the West Midlands. With the current Covid pandemic causing many theatres to close their doors this winter, an exclusive recording of the show will now be shared with local primary and secondary schools. The recording will be available to view from Tuesday 1 December, so pupils across the region can be united in experiencing the fun and festivity of a Christmas theatre production.
