Bottega opened its doors in as a high quality Neapolitan pizzeria. As the precursor of a major pizza movement, the establishment still offers one of the best pizzas in Montreal, and the best Neapolitan pizza in our opinion. Fabrizio Covone and Mr. Aniello Covone came up with the name of the pizzeria on St-Zotique Street. Their main objective: to communicate to their customers that everything here is homemade; from the pizza dough, to the tomato sauce, to the gelatos of the restaurant. Mission accomplished.

Bottega Laval opened its doors in April following the incredible success of Bottega in Montreal, offering excellent pizzas and Italian specialties! Bottega Laval has a seating capacity of about , with about 20 seats at the large marble bar. The restaurant is illuminated by natural light from the large windows that surround the room. The cellar is in the back left corner of the space, and in the middle stands an impressive pizza oven with the name Bottega on it. As at their location in Montreal, the tables are covered with white tablecloths and cloth napkins. The decor is quite classic, but with a modern twist, and was designed by Francisco Fernandez. With its chic atmosphere, the address also offers the possibility to enjoy your gastronomic experience on the terrace of about 50 seats. And here, almost everything is homemade. Chef David Zaccardi is in charge of the menu. The starters and main courses are the same at both Bottegas, but the daily specials vary. At Bottega Laval, the menu consists mainly of excellent Neapolitan-influenced pizzas. There are a few pizzas stuffed with prosciutto cotto, eggplant, and mozzarella, ricotta, salami, mushrooms and mozzarella, or multiple cheeses, Parmigiano and prosciutto di Parma. For pizzas with tomato sauce, there are the classic margherita, marinara, romana, sicilian, capreses, and others. A visit here is a trip to Italy, and a delight every time. There are also some small appetizers called sfizi at Bottega such as Bacio della Bottega, arancinos, polpettas, olives, lamb chops, stuffed eggplant, grilled shrimp, salads, and more.

I would give this restaurant more than 5 stars if possible! The pizzas are exquisite. We had also a couple of other courses that were a great culinary experience - the lamb cutlet was very flavourful, the side-order of rappini came with the added touch The service was impeccable and our waiter took great pleasure in described the dishes which I enjoyed. As the restaurant was crowded, the noise of conversations was intense, but that seems to be unfortunately often the case in many of our restaurants.
