Botw challenges
Open-world games had been around for a number of years before Nintendo's flagship series dipped its toes into the genre, but The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was cut from a different cloth, botw challenges.
I'm currently at the end of my 4 shrine, no tower run. I clipped into all four Great Plateau shrines so that I didn't have to activate the tower. Doing so makes me unable to access any other shrine in the game, making my only warp points the Divine Beasts and Tech labs. I also didn't upgrade my stamina, so I've been at base stamina the whole game. Also, because I can't get up to 13 hears, no Master Sword. I thought the Blight Ganons would be insane with so little hearts, but I decided to try strength food, and I destroyed them never did that until this run.

Here's what I'm currently doing: -3 Hearts -no Inventory upgrades -no champion abilities -no fairies -Champion's Shirt and Hylian Pants only except for stuff like Gerudo Town -no Great Fairy upgrades -drop all of your weapons upon death. This would lead to some really interesting planning on which routes to take. The most tricky case I came across was the Rito armor, since it's made with feathers, but their species is capable of meaningfully consenting to you using their feathers? Master Botw challenges is, naturally, also an option, botw challenges.
Food is basically your main tool for restoring hearts in Breath of the Wild , allowing you to create dozens of good-looking meals for Link to eat that will boost his stats, damage output, and defense capabilities provided you mix the proper ingredients. Instead, you must pay to sleep at an inn located on the map, making boss encounters and dangerous enemies much more intimidating throughout the game. Simply, the No Shield run requires you to never touch a shield, preventing you from blocking, parrying, or snowboarding. This puts a huge weakness on your defenses, making Link extremely weak in direct combat unless you dodge enemy attacks perfectly to avoid damage. Instead of being able to stockpile everything you find, create, or cook, the Eventide challenge has one rule: Whenever you swap tower zones on the in-game map, you must strip naked, drop all your weapons, materials, and food to start from nothing with each passing zone. This makes certain zones incredibility tough to navigate due to their hot or cold temperatures but keeps your experience thrilling as you try to find more resources to protect yourself with.

No healing in the middle of a battle, only in between.

Master Mode is, naturally, also an option. I would probably climb a lot of mountains and cliffs to look around. Throwing other weapons is legal. I have tons of hearty radishes and stuff laying around as well, but the durians are just too tempting to leave alone. This was achieved by using a raft, a lot of octo balloons, and a clever use of physics. What if Travel Gates were not an option? When you beat Master Kohga, you won't have random Yiga ambushes. But I think this would be fun. Thinking about the vegan-only and carnivore-only runs, I'm now wondering if you could do a no food or elixirs at all run. Each Great Fairy allows an armor piece to be upgraded once, so it is possible to improve equipment a total of four times. Bow and arrows are helpful weaponry you can use to attack enemies from a distance.
Speak to Chio , a medium-sized Korok with a mushroom on his head standing on a tree stump to the right of the entrance to the Great Deku Tree.

Although important in a normal playthrough, cooking food and creating elixirs becomes crucial in this challenge run. Fighting is not that important in Breath of the Wild. As for other challenge runs other than the obvious 3-heart run the ones I know of are mostly fun themed ones, although they add their own difficulty. I have just played it through "normally" three times, but playing through the entire game in just boxershorts actually sounds as something that can be fun and not tedious. Forgoing the use of swords, spears, bows, and bombs, the streamer made it all the way to Ganon with a creative use of magnetic blocks, glitches, and stampeding horse hooves. Breath of the Wild's durability system means it is impossible to only use a single weapon for the entire playthrough, but the same cannot be said for weapon types. I know there's no negative effects if you don't, but I feel bad about keeping Link awake for weeks at a time. So, before every Lynel fight, I go through the whole ritual staredown instead of just flying in and attacking without warning. I wonder how long Link will last without one though while being in just underwear. This forces you to weigh the positives and negatives of each clothing , especially since the Gerudo armor set is needed to complete the "Forbidden City Entry" quest.
What words... super, magnificent idea
It agree, your idea simply excellent
