Chol Hamoed is a time for families to be together and enjoy the Yomtov season. The free family event is open to the entire neighborhood and will include entertainment by Nussi Friedman, as well as a magic show, a monkey show, a ventriloquist, and a fire show. Activities will include a plethora of rides, inflatables, a petting zoo, balloon sculptures and much more. Community members of all ages are welcome to attend and enjoy an afternoon of excitement and fun. The Flatbush community event, taking place on Monday, April 10 th , will treat attendees to a super-thrilling free Extravaganza which will include pony rides, outstanding entertainment, bumper cars, rides, balloons, snacks and drinks, along with so much more.

The stars aligned as the glitterati in the Boro Park Jewish community came out for a legislative barbeque last Wednesday evening to receive awards from the Borough Park Jewish Community Council and to support the recipients as guests feasted on hot dogs, hamburgers, deli meats, salads and sushi. Before a crowd of more than , six major community, political and appointed individuals were honored for keeping Boro Park a safe and family-friendly place to live. It was the usual scene of Schumer trying to navigate his way through the throngs of supporters. Schumer, 72, who occasionally attends services at Congregation Beth Elohim, a Reform synagogue near Prospect Park, appeared to revel in all the attention. Once he started to speak, the audience continued talking over his remarks, to which Schumer said, sheket bevakasha [quiet, please], and after the crowd quieted down, he said Todah Habah [mispronouncing Habah which should have been Rabah meaning thank you very much].

BPJCC — The Ateres Chaya Ballroom in the center of Boro Park was filled to the brim on Sunday morning and afternoon with more than 2, men and women eager for the next stage in their lives, the golden years. The Master of Ceremonies was the engaging and entertaining Jake Turx of Ami Magazine , who sometimes had the crowd in stitches — but otherwise kept the proceedings moving flawlessly, interspersed with humor and fascinating information. Nir Y. Uriel of Columbia Hospital, a world-renowned cardiology expert, dedicated his entire day to this event. Aside from his incredible keynote address, he patiently spent time meeting with fellow physicians from the community, members of Hatzolah and many participants on matters relating to heart health and much more. He was joined by Dr. Irving Friedman and Dr. Meir Cohen, a neurologist and diabetes expert respectively, who likewise dedicated themselves to providing consultations at no charge to the participants. It is no secret that people entering their golden years are often caring for elderly parents, and must handle matters of estate planning and medical Halachah for their loved ones and for themselves. Here too, the expo outdid itself with fascinating presentations chock-full of crucial information in these areas, based on decades of experience of the experts.
