The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is out now! Here you can find a quest walkthrough, where to start Leviathan Bones, and all quest rewards. List of Contents. The quest is pretty easy to find.

Speak to Akrah at Serenne Stable who asks Link to obtain a photo of each of the three Leviathan skeletons skulls in the Eldin , Hebra , and Gerudo regions. A red! Hawa Koth Shrine is located beneath the skeleton. Navigating to this location is quite difficult as there are no nearby towers or shrines. The last skeleton is located in the northwestern area of the Hebra Region in a cave deep in the heart of Hebra North Summit. The actual cave entrance is located Southeast of the skeleton's actual location alongside the To Quomo Shrine, at the bottom of a slope near a small pool of water.

Before players get too far ahead in their Breath of the Wild journey, they'll want to grab the Camera Rune for the Sheikah Slate. As its name indicates, this allows Link to take pictures of just about anything. This comes in handy when registering items to the Hyrule Compendium. The Camera Rune is also a necessity for completing several side quests and Shrine Quests. The "Leviathan Bones" side quest will have Link traveling to three different regions of Hyrule. He'll need to take pictures of the leviathan bones found in the Hebra, Eldin, and Gerudo regions. While it's far from Breath of the Wild 's more difficult side quests, only one set of the bones are in plain sight. The remaining two will require some puzzle-solving. In order for Serenne Stable to be visible on the map , players will need to Activate the Woodland Tower. They're conducting research on the three leviathan bones around Hyrule, and speaking to them adds "Leviathan Bones" to the side quest list. All three of them need a perfect image of each of the leviathans' skulls. Obtaining a picture can be done with the help of the Sheikah Slate's Camera Rune. Without it, Link won't be able to complete the side quest. Players will want to head northwest from the Hebra Summit.

Hawa Koth Shrine is located beneath the skeleton. Zelda Wiki Explore. This is precisely the evidence I needed to prove that the leviathans went extinct due to a harsh ice age!

These stables are just southeast of the Hebra Tower and north of Monya Toma shrine. Like we said, this side quest will take you on a tour of some of the harshest environments on the map. Or you can cook up some elixirs. The three locations you need to visit are scattered all over the map. All you need to do at each location is get a picture of the skeleton that includes at least the skull. This is pretty easy for the Eldin remains where there are plenty of cliffs to climb for a good vantage point, but kind of tricky for the Gerudo remains where a sandstorm will block your vision. This is the same place where the dragon Dinraal starts its daily journey.

At the Serenne Stable, there are three brothers discussing their theories about the ancient Leviathans and how they may have gone extinct. Onya believes that they went extinct as a result of an ice age, Akhrah believes that it was a volcanic eruption, and Garshon believes it was the result of a massive drought. However, the brothers do have some idea of where the bones might be and point Link towards the Eldin Mountains, Hebra region, and Gerudo region to get him moving in the right direction. As a reward, Garshon promises Link Rupees, making this one of the best side quests to complete when players are in need of some extra cash. However, if players have not found the remains yet, the skeletons are still big enough to see on Breath of the Wild's map of Hyrule , and players can zoom in and scan the three regions to find their locations. Unfortunately, the Hebra Leviathan Bones are hidden in a cave and is impossible to see from above, so Link will need to do a bit of exploring in order to find all three. In the Gerudo region, the Leviathan skeleton is located in the bottom left corner of the map, deep in the Gerudo desert. Reaching this area can be a bit tricky since the Gerudo desert is difficult to navigate with its inconsistent climate and deep sands, but Link can catch or rent a Sand Seal at Gerudo Town to make the journey much faster and easier. Once the door is open, the Leviathan bones can be found just inside, along with the ancient Shrine that sits just beneath it.
