Callaway razr x driver

I must admit, when I was first asked to review this driver, I was very excited. At my local golf store this club is on the shelf, but there are not very many on display because it is selling quite well. Callaway has gone through a bit of a lull but I think with the latest line of drivers they are coming on strong. Test Model Details The driver I tested was a 9. The head has also been designed with streamlined surface technology to create less drag and higher impact speeds. Many of my friends are race car enthusiasts and will often rave about the importance of making the car light but still retaining durability. Carbon Fiber is the ideal material, where it is light enough to increase your swing speed, but durable enough to not be damaged while in your golf club. Callaway states that the forged composite contains over 12 million turbostatic carbon fibers that reinforce the crown of the club. This also allows the Callaway engineers to precisely control thickness resulting in a lighter club head and an high MOI. The driver also has Distance Trajectory Weighting which is designed to put the center of gravity lower in the clubhead to launch the ball high and help get the ball up in the air. I was worried when I read high launch. For me, having the driver balloon in the air is a big issue that I want to avoid. For this club Callaway did not go overboard with the launch conditions and it creates a nice boring trajectory which was very pleasing. I will go into the face and how forgiving it is in the Playability section.

Not overly muted, yet not loud and tingy by any means either, callaway razr x driver. Something else this technology does is saves weight so they can move that to the perimeter of the driver to increase the MOI. How has the optiforce fared in comparison to the newer lineup from callaway.

JR: This was certainly suited to a golfer with a higher swing speed, as the ball flight was lower than many others on Test. DW: The head seemed more workable than some, suiting players looking to shape shots. The ball came off the face well. MR: This was excellent, sweet as a nut in fact. Jon eked out yards while Dave C was just shy of yards on average and it also scored maximum numbers in dispersion too — the only club on test to complete this double. But the maximum scores tell a fraction of the story. This was also ridiculously forgiving — it was very hard to mishit this golf club and Pro James agreed this would be an exceptional product for a game-improver as well as better player. And talking of better players, James V was adamant it oozed class and you could tell it was a premium golf club.

Pickem New comments Hall of Fame Search. Many of the other club companies will put the new Golf Pride Multicompound or a Winn grip, which is a simple upgrade that really makes the driver feel good in your hands. Very nice. I think for this price Callaway has created a good driver for the average golfer and even the better player who wants to save a little money. Allowing us to adjust the face angle a bit, although I would doubt if too many people would want the face much more open than it already is. THP received this driver well ahead of the release date to put it through the paces with a full review. I love the Forged Composite visible on the crown along with just a subtle red graphic that does not distract you at all, in fact I think it ties together a great look on the crown of the RAZR X Black. Typically golf problem, fix one thing break, something else. There are a lot of factors that come together to deliver the performance Callaway is shooting for with this driver. I had no issues with swinging easy or with reaching back and really going after the ball with this shaft. Need help?

To all of you, let me just say this; get over your damned selves. The results of our tests suggest that the Callaway RAZR Fit Driver is both long and straight…make that really long, and really straight! I had reservations for a couple of reasons.

If you want something completely different, there are plenty of options and I think you have a good list to start with. Little bit of both, I changed my swing last year, and developed a draw in all my swings from my irons grrrrrrrr to my driver, I Love the draw I'm getting in my driver, so I know I have to make some adjustments to my swing again, but in doing so I know I'll probably again straighten out my driver again, and possibly to a slice worst case. Distance Trajectory Weighting- Optimizes the center of gravity promoting ideal conditions for maximum distance with a high launch, low spinning ball flight. I hope to put it in play within the next week or so. Sound wise this driver is unique from most every other driver on the market. The new driver features Forged Composite material in the crown and Distance Trajectory Weighting that promotes premium conditions for maximum distance in a high launch, low spinning ball flight.
