World of Warcraft: Cataclysm will not introduce a new class, but there are more race-class combinations to choose from than ever before.

Blizzard is significantly altering the 10 existing World of Warcraft classes in upcoming expansion Cataclysm, introducing new spells, abilities and talents as well as altering those already present. The developer has previewed changes for all but one of the classes, the Paladin, which will be detailed on 16th April. Blizzard didn't want to offer a less "comprehensive" preview and so delayed the reveal to "properly honour the Paladin class and those who play them". There are some broad changes going into effect. Mana is going to be a much greater consideration for healers and Blizzard hopes this will result in less frenzied, spammed healing and more thought-out strategies. Similarly, Mages will have abilities that do more damage depending on the amount of mana they have, and even abilities to return mana should a spell not hit. Dispel mechanics are changing, too.

With Cataclysm Classic officially on its way , there are a lot of big changes coming to Azeroth. Cataclysm is the only expansion that drastically altered existing content in the game, changing much of the World of Warcraft as we knew it to make way for some new features. The Cataclysm expansion brings several new features to the game, including the ability to customize your gear and level up your guild. At some point during Cataclysm, a few ethereals will set up shop in Orgimmar and Stormwind. These NPCs will offer three new services to players. Cataclysm adds a new system to the game for leveling up your guild, with its own achievement system and perks. There are 25 levels for guilds to progress through, each offering a new perk as a reward to all members of the guild. These perks include a number of passive bonuses as well as some very useful abilities, culminating in the Mass Resurrection ability, which allows any character to resurrect their entire party or raid outside of combat.

Characters will no longer be able to spread their points across different talent trees without first committing many points to their main spec, effectively eliminating hybrid specs.

What kind of changes will there be for Cata classes? Or will it be exactly the same that retail cata was? As previous Classic expansions, it will most likely stay the same thats the point of Classic.
