In Wisconsin, I have just thoroughly power sanded a 10 year old treated lumber deck that had been stained with a solid color stain 5 years ago and had peeled terribly. If the wood is internally darker like this then this would be the result. Would you advise still using your deck brightener or would you need to see a picture first?
