Maybe from both? For if they fail, they may lose everything—even their souls. The villains were extremely one-dimensional and stupid. This may not make much sense to everyone, but in my opinion it would have been much better if there was a two love triangles involved in this book: one being between James Cordelia and Grace. Cassie did Christopher dirty and i will not be able to forgive her for that. And mistakes do not take them from us; nothing takes them from us. But COT just took it too far and this death 1 reason honestly! Her books have more than fifty million copies in print worldwide and have been translated into more than thirty-five languages. Also, quite a bit of the main romance could've been solved so quickly with just one honest conversation, which is quite frustrating. We cannot get another one. Jesse had SO much potential as well to become a fav but again, he was also sidelined with Lucie. The Dark Artifices. He had absolutely no job throughout the whole story. I'm finally posting my review for Chain of Thorns two months after reading it. Cordelia and Matthew did him a grave injustice.
