Coming Soon A new season means a fresh overhaul of content for players to enjoy. The map, weapons and skins are just some of the things to get an overhaul. It doesn't stop there as many functions structures in the game are changed such as the way XP is earny and how quests are laid out. So what can we expect this season in Fortnite?

Without building, all players have the recharging Overshield as your first line of defense in Zero Build. Zip up Ascenders to access Blimps or use Mantling to get the high-ground over your opponents. Battle Pass owners can unlock the customizable Omni Sword Pickaxe. Fortnite players welcome a new season and a battle pass that once again comes packed with awesome cosmetics for the Epic Games battle royale. While Spider-Man was hanging on the cover of chapter three, season one, Doctor Strange takes the main stage in the second season of the third chapter. There are already a bunch of challenges to finish which will help players to max out their battle passes before the season expires. The theme of the season was Resistance , and focused on the war between The Seven and the Imagined Order , mainly from The Seven's perspective. Following the invasion of Apollo by The Last Reality and the arrival of 3 members of The Seven on the Island, the Island was flipped to reveal a brand new Island on it's flipside, consequently destroying The Bridge.

That's right, Fortnite has turned off building in its default mode. All those people who swore they'd try Fortnite if it took away the option to construct a skyscraper underneath yourself at the drop of a hat, or imprison someone in a box then edit the walls to shotgun them before they know what's happening, finally have no excuse. Something pretty significant had always been predicted for Season 2, since Chapter 3 got off to a banger of a start—finally adding in Spider-Man, a wealth of new gameplay mechanics like sliding and giant item-spewing dinosaurs, and a whole new map full of crazy weather effects. Still, ditching the central mechanic that differentiates Fortnite from other battle royale games is a pretty bold move. What are they going to do now, rename it "Nite"?
