Chitoge kirisaki
Chitoge Kirisaki is a character featured in Naoshi Komi's romantic comedy manga and anime series Nisekoi. She is the main love interest of the male protagonist Raku Ichijou. Chitoge is a blond-haired girl who wears a red ribbon and black thigh-high stockings, and her behaviour towards Raku is a classic example of a tsundere archetype. Chitoge enjoyed significant popularity during the anime's runtime from to , and made notable results in several character popularity contests during that time. Her manga has gained a place in anime history for being one of the most famous examples of "shipping wars", which was mainly contested between her fans and Kosaki Onodera supporters. But after the conclusion of the manga's storyline, the hype behind it faded, and with it comes a subsequent decline in popularity and power in character contests. If her series were called "Romeo and Juliet," Kirisaki Chitoge would be Juliet… except that she is an unladylike and short-tempered daughter of a mafia boss. Not to mention her knack for misunderstanding things. But while she does not fit the mold of the famous character, that does not stop Chitoge from aiming for that ideal. Living with the mafia means not staying in one spot for too long, so Chitoge always has too little time to associate with others, get to know them better, and have fun together. But Chitoge will not give up so easily — she keeps a diary about all of her classmates so that she can relate to them to the best of her ability.

Hana is the mother of Chitoge who visits albeit very rarely Chitoge and her husband around Christmas Eve, and is also the person who gave Chitoge her red ribbon. Chitoge and her mother had a close relationship with each other when she was younger, until Hana started to be engrossed in her work. Sooner or later, Chitoge stopped calling her "Mom" in front of her and became afraid and nervous of her whenever she visits. Hana has always asked Chitoge how old she is even if she already knows and never gave her presents on Christmas. Hana looks at Chitoge's ribbon, and asks her why she still wears it, due to it being frayed from wear. She tells her to wear something else in order to maintain her appearance, and informed Chitoge that she came early just because she had business to do.
