Then, at some point, I get attacked by my neighbour who somehow has a gigantic army, several cities and a whole lot of wonders already, while I am still fighting barbarians and building monuments. Sometimes I preemptively attack my neighbour and take one or more of their cities early, especially if they are in the way.
