Livonia is my home town and my favorite place to explore.

Here are Clements Circle Park projects that we need to get ahead of before it is spring. Thank you to those of you who chimed in on our Facebook! Additionally please feel free to email me at Stephen ClementsCircle. We got a great start on this last summer, we need to be prepared for actually making an initial garden this summer. We have a good crew working through the planning of this to iterate towards a registered Monarch garden, but more help is welcome.

These pools offer swim lessons, open swimming, private rentals, and special events. Hours and capacities are subject to change based on staffing. Safety is our number one priority, and we continue to make adjustments to provide a safe swimming environment for the public. Where listed, the pool will close between open swim blocks to allow staff to clean the facility. Patrons will be required to exit the facility. They may return for the second block if they wish. Photo I. Outdoor pool access is also included as a Kirksey Recreation Center membership benefit. Outdoor pool passes are only sold at the Kirksey Recreation Center. Applications for the season will be accepted starting May 1. Pools are not available for exclusive use during hours of operation.

Kids — and, let's be real, adults — can find some relief on a hot day at a splash pad. They're cool, refreshing and more than friendly to non-swimmers. They have a blast enjoying the water and soaking one another with water guns. The free splash pad at Farmington Hills' Heritage Park is open 10 a. The park is at Farmington Road, between 10 and 11 Mile roads. When kids are finished with the fountains and sprayers, Heritage Park also has a playground, nature trails and fields perfect for a picnic or game of soccer. Parents enjoy that Heritage is cost-free and has plenty of open spaces for parents to keep an eye on their kids. It being free doesn't hurt either. LeeAnn Varga, who brings her kids to the park, added it's nice to have another playground nearby.
