In his adulthood, he became a notorious serial killer and was eventually arrested by the FBI and imprisoned at San Quentin State Prison. Prior to his incarceration, he embarked on a massacre in New York City and murdered 11 people on Ryker's Island. Following the massacre, Kasady dug up his mother's grave. Cletus asked to be interviewed by journalist Eddie Brock. Once Eddie arrived. Cletus made it apparent to Eddie that once he intended to break out of prison and when he did, there would be " carnage ".
