Ultra-cool, and ultra-hip, Lumen is the newest in the city venue to embrace latest trend in the club scene: exclusive, VIP service-focused, luxuriously designed, and catering to the beautiful and the famous, Lumen brings a taste of Miami to Houston. Moderately-sized with lots of seating, and a reasonably open dance floor for the space, the interior evokes South Beach, with modern, sleek design, clean lines, crisp colors and lots of little details that give the place its ambience. A solid sound system, and some extravagant lighting arrangements complete a very nice overall setup. The musical lineup consists of established locals, up-and-coming out-of-towners, and some serious icons like Seattle native Donald Glaude and international star John Acquaviva in the EDM scene. A pretty safe bet on the weekends, Lumen also offers a locally famous Tuesday night if you need something to get you through the week.

Hours : Kirby Dr, Houston Music on a Friday night was not great. The DJ was coming up with some weird remixes and the whole group was not feeling it. Usually Fridays are Spanish music but not this time.
