Cobalt 60 was a film set to be produced by Universal Pictures with Zack Snyder directing after their success with his loose remake of Dawn of the Dead. The film was announced, but never went anywhere over the next several years, so the project has presumably been canceled. When Prince Cobalt 60's parents are killed by Strontium 90, he hunts the culprit down across a wild, post-apocalyptic world inhabited by mutants, aliens, and other strange creatures. After succeeding, Cobalt 60 inherits the kingdom, but he prefers his life in the wastes. This is the basic plot of the comics, but it's unknown to what degree and in what form they would have been adapted. While never reaching mainstream popularity, the comic is beloved by a cult following.
