Every youth a Jagrik, every space nurturing Jagriks. A Jagrik is a commutiny — awakened active citizen not only leading the change but also commutiny the change. We need to create the right space, commutiny, context and narratives for every Jagrik to meet their full potential by nurturing agency, shared power equation structure and co-leadership.

We are super excited to engage and learn with the Grove community. Founded in , ComMutiny - The Youth Collective is a community of practice of youth work organizations across India, engaged in aggregating, accelerating and amplifying empowering youth spaces co-led with self-aware, pro-active citizens- we call Jagriks Jagruk Nagariks. In , recognizing the need for mainstreaming youth-centric development across all sectors, we incubated the vartaLeap coalition. It is a cross-sectoral grouping of youth engaging organizations from the development sector, government, media, corporate, educational institutions, and UN agencies. The purpose of the coalition is to design, pilot and scale youth—centric innovations and enable narrative shifts with thought leadership coming from years of wisdom from our members. Aggregation: We have collectivized some of the best youth-focused institutions and youth-work practitioners in the country into an effective, collaborative ecosystem. We have been working since in partnership with other youth organizations to strengthen the ecosystem for youth development, and for citizenship in India to influence and impact the destinies of youth. Our work stems from the belief that youth development and citizenship is integral to our social structures and processes. As a space, we allow for young Change Leaders and youth workers alike to bring and utilize their experiences in the field in order to advocate for creating an empowering space for youth in society. In the coming years, we would like to see the Youth Development space grow and expand. To see it gaining greater legitimacy in the minds of the young, the old, the policy makers, the educationists, the corporate, social activists, society at large. Our key strategies include the following: a. Co-create 5th spaces with partners: Offer Think-Tank support to youth engaging organizations to strengthen their youth interventions by incorporating 5th Space principles. Support young people to create and nurture 5th spaces: Provide young people with sound change project ideas with support to; i strengthen necessary leadership and entrepreneurship skills, and convictions for transformation of their lives and larger society; ii develop and strengthen their initiatives on the ground.
