I know the original design was from the Unnamed City people, but Humans do have BRAINS as well: if we can build that thing, we can build a reduced size variant of that as well. Of course I hope for a miniaturized version of the map room as well, but the teleport pad is a good new. I do not have a map room but I like its size. You can see the map more clearly and looks cool to have. A set piece. I am not sure if its bigger than the big wheel of pain or not. Probably bigger since I do have this inside a circular bulding. It is extremely difficult to close a map room on a polygon construction but not impossible. The map room after it is placed accepts some pillars though it but in specific points. It is very easy however to close it in a square construction. Play a bit in admin mode and you will will see that impossible is nothing. Time for ancient architecture skills. Here is the inspiration but you can do variations therein. The key to circular rooms is to pillar one of the outside wedges of the 3rd circle. If you are wanting to place it on top, remember that the map room can be climbed out off but not in so an elevator, ladder, or stairs can be used to get up to the maproom from the floor below.

It is speculated that in the dim past, the obelisks served as a form of permission for slaves - the more trusted the slave, the more access to obelisks.
