The hike is listed as easy but just a heads up to anyone with mobility restrictions there is an area about a mile and a half in that requires a tiny scramble up the rocks and several rock stair cases following, but there are some natural holds in the rock to step and place your hand and just takes a second to place footing safely. Very nice hike I live in CT and the terrain reminded me of home. Still a fair amount of ice on the trail. I recommend crampons. Great views!

There is a trailhead parking spot, do not park in front of people's houses or their driveways. Vintage Durango Colorado Mountain Is it the best hike I have done in the last week? Trail was difficult with several feet of snow, especially at the top of the canyon. There is also a small bookstore and museum near the trailhead. Icy and beautiful trail bring microspikes. You will sweat. We used spikes for portions of the trail: this is recommended, but be prepared to take them on and off as there are areas with enough sun exposure to be dry.
