Curtain rods walmart
These DIY curtain rods play perfectly with my organic modern style with the use of wood and leather. Plus, they come at an unbeatable price!
Before I begin, thank you so much for being so kind about my new curtains in the dining room! I am taken aback daily by how many genuinely nice people there are in this blogging community. I should dedicate an entire post just to curtain rods, because after this experience, I think I know every single option of inexpensive curtain rod options in the greater Austin area. That post is for another day though. But my DIY curtain rod version is significantly cheaper than both of those.

I recently painted our dining room see post here and my old curtains didn't work with the new wall paint color. I didn't want to spend much money on new curtains, so I decided to try making curtains out of bed sheets. So I ordered flat sheets from Walmart like she did, and they worked perfectly! There is an extra wide window and a regular sized window in our dining room, so these are the sizes I ordered:. The twin and double size sheets are the same length at 96" long, which was perfect for my windows. The double size is a bit wider than the twin. Here are the dimensions that the sheets come in:. If you have higher ceilings, the queen and king size sheets are longer and will work better for you. I like my curtains to hang just at the floor or to pool slightly, like they do here. I also like to use curtain rod rings with clips, because they slide nicely making it easy to open and close the curtains. The curtain rods are available on Amazon here , and the rings are from here. The curtains are beautiful and look nothing like bed sheets when they are hung!
I am going to give this a try.

This is definitely one of my favorite home DIY projects to date along with my hallway mural. Thanks for the great idea as I need a 9 ft. Where did you buy the leather? Thanks for this, it solves the problems in my living room 3 windows with no curtains and in our new sunroom the two clerestories are each six feet wide and aggravating my skin cancer. Then screw the leather strips into the wall and snap the caps closed. Joined Jun 12, Messages 3, How exactly did you screw in the finials? I have lived 10 years in the same house with an oversized window. The end of the finial came that way from IKEA. I painted some wooden finials with hammered effect silver spray paint, a bit o hot glue to affix and yay!! Once you decide on a width, measure and cut the leather to size. Once the pipe was cut to length I just propped it up in the garage and spray painted it, as well as all the DIY curtain rod hardware. I may have missed this, but did you buy the fabric and line it. Joined May 8, Messages The drapes are nice too. I still have curtains to put up, so this is really going to help. The guy at Home Depot said I would have to strip all of the fixtures of the galvanized coating in order for the spray paint to adhere well to the plumbing fixtures and the conduit. You want quality, Walmart is not your store. A cheap cutter can be found at harborfreight. Keeping my fingers crossed. Want to see change? Q Can aerosol paints be applied to galvanized metal?
You are mistaken. I suggest it to discuss.
