What would the minimum be in terms of a camera body in terms of image quality? I don't know how much you know about photography in general but weddings are a different animal all together. If you wish to be taken seriously you need professional equipment D or better. In my opinion, the photographer must learn more about the mm and see for himself or herself what good it can do instead of taking the plunge to buy the sophisticated lens by spending a hefty sum.
