Welcome to the second trial of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. For this trial, you need to not only solve the murder of Mahiru but also figure out how the Twilight Syndrome Murder Case video game was or was not a motive. Due to solving both of these mysteries, this particular trial can be difficult and complex. The trial is a little unique also because there are a still couple of minigames to complete after the closing argument. It also is the first trial to use Logic Drive. The students debate amongst themselves, using evidence collected during the investigation phase, to determine the culprit in each chapter. The debate takes place in a courtroom setting, and consists of several debate phases and minigames. The trial ends when the culprit - known as the "Blackened" - is uncovered, and ultimately executed. See the Class Trials main page for a more general overview of Class Trials throughout all Danganronpa games. This game introduces blue weak points. Instead of finding the right Truth Bullet to contradict the standard orange weak point, the correct Truth Bullet must affirm a blue weak point. Memory Truth Bullets acquired by scanning other weak points are not compatible with this mechanic, and are only used to refute. The player travels into Hajime's mind in a minigame similar to the Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc equivalent. This time, the letters travel across the screen. If different letters collide, they explode and damage Hajime's Influence. If identical letters collide, they merge into a bigger version that can then be inserted into the blank spaces to answer the question.

Danganronpa 2 trial 2
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair has a structure similar to the first game : the story is split into six chapters, and each chapter is split into three parts with the exception of the last, which only has two. Daily Life can be considered the chapter's opening, usually setting up the mystery to come. In Daily Life, the player as Hajime Hinata can explore their surroundings and bond with Hajime's fellow students via Free Time opportunities. In the Class Trial, Hajime must use the evidence he has collected to overcome a variety of challenges that will eventually lead him to the truth. At the start of the game, you are given the option of three difficulties for the game's logic and action segments: Gentle, Kind, and Mean. A higher difficulty will affect the logic segments by giving you more Truth Bullets to choose from in Nonstop Debates, as well as having a greater impact on your influence if you answer a question wrong. The more action-driven mini-games comprise the action segments of the game, such as Rebuttal Showdown and Panic Talk Action, though a higher action difficulty will also produce more white noise to shoot down in Nonstop Debates. These will ultimately be more difficult even with the help of a walkthrough, but you will be rewarded in a greater amount of Monocoins the higher the difficulty. Choose whichever difficulty seems best based on prior or lack of experience with the series though it is highly recommended that Trigger Happy Havoc be played first for story purposes , and start your Dangan experience with the Prologue.
