Died right after curing toxic in the painted world and now my health ticks down even without any status effects. I've tried every cure and healing item in the game, reversing hollowing, resting at bonfire, saving and quitting, restarting the game completely, getting toxic and curing it multiple times. This character is basically no longer usable or just got its' difficulty increased.

When you make it out of the undead asylum your droped off at the fire link shrine from there head down the stairs toward the top of the torch, just keep going down.
