The magic here is more a matter of the spec than the frame. Not that the frame is bad — far from it. Butted aluminium tubes are welded together in what Decathlon rightly calls a racing geometry jig. The narrower bar and longer stem of the Decathlon amplify its racy, old-school angles. Where it makes your mouth go dry is on steep rollover drops, which will feel more precipitous than they actually are.
