Deep Focus in Hollow Knight is one out of the 45 Charms that is found in the game. These charms are special items that provide The Knight buffs that will help with both traversing Hallownest and battling its foes. Charms require Notches and can only be equipped and unequipped while having The Knight sit on a bench. Draws in SOUL from the surrounding air. Deep Focus is a charm that focuses on regenerating two health masks and it is best used to heal yourself from enemy attacks that decreases The Knight's health by two points, however, it gradually increases the focus time it needs in order to completely heal two masks. It is recommended for players to use this charm only if The Knight is in a safe area for it to take its time to heal without any interruptions from any environmental or enemy attacks. This charm is laughably awful.

As the Knight journeys through Hallownest, he can unlock new abilities, spells, and charms that will help him traverse through different areas of Hallownest and defeat enemies. In the game, special items give the Knight different abilities and bonuses called Charms. To equip or unequip these Charms, the Knight must sit on a Bench, and the Knight must have enough unused Notches to equip them. When equipped, the Deep Focus charm increases the time for when the Knight uses Focus but will heal two Masks instead of just one. With the Deep Focus charm, the Knight will take longer when healing and using Focus, but the Masks healed will be doubled! The Deep Focus charm can be found at the end of a platforming segment inside a hidden room filled with crystals in the western part of Crystal Peak, northeast of Hallownest. Before the Knight can find the Deep Focus charm, it is required that the Knight has the Crystal Heart ability , which allows the Knight to continuously dash and fly forwards until the Knight hits a wall, hits an enemy that was not killed by the dash, or if the player stops the dash, and the Mantis Claw ability , which allows the Knight to cling to walls and jump off of them. To make the journey to the Deep Focus charm easier, it is recommended that the Knight has the Monarch Wings ability , which allows the Knight to perform a secondary jump in mid-air, and the Mothwing Cloak ability , which allows the Knight to dash forward horizontally. Acquiring the Deep Focus charm will be no challenge with this item and these abilities. To exit this area, simply head back up the shaft, head to the right, exit the room, then, instead of dropping down on the platform below, jump across it then jump up the platforms on the right, and there you will see a long path with a conveyor belt on the floor. Head to the right, and then, at the end of the path, you will see that part of the floor is breakable. Simply walk or stand on it to break it, drop down, then take the exit on the right. The Stalwart Shell charm increases the invincibility frames and reduces the recoil whenever the Knight is hit, and if paired with the Deep Focus charm, the increased invincibility frames could give the Knight time to heal. Now that the Knight has the Deep Focus charm, the Knight can equip it while sitting down on a Bench, and the Knight will heal two Masks when using Focus but will take more time using Focus!

Deep Focus is a Charm in Hollow Knight. Startup time is not affected by Deep Focus. Its restrictive cost and slow Focus time make it hard to use in boss battles. It is better used in areas where there is lots of time to rest, such as while tackling difficult platforming challenges, where it shines in combination with Grubsong and Hiveblood.
