This page contains information on the Monster - Deviljho. With a massive muscular physique and powerful jaws, this fearsome foe has ended many a hunt for veteran hunters. Outfitted with a large spiked tail, huge legs and a many-horned maw, Jho is a relentless attacker. Make sure to keep watch for its leaps, hip checks, and most importantly its Dragon breath it exudes from its mouth when enraged. You must follow a few special steps to find it though.

Defense Down. Fireblight on lava terrain. Iceblight on icy terrain. Waterblight on water terrain. Effluvial Buildup on effluvial terrain. It is a variant of Deviljho. A mutated Deviljho variant, driven mad by its overpowering hunger. It will attempt to feed on all it sees. Fighting Savage Deviljho is in no way required to beat Iceborne. However, Savage Deviljho likes to show up uninvited. Like his regular counterpart, Savage Deviljho can be encountered on every map that isn't a dedicated Boss arena. Savage Deviljho invades Elder Dragons quests, even assigned ones. The longer the hunter spends fighting the Elder Dragon, the higher the Chance of Deviljho showing up. It will spawn close to the Elder Dragon and immediately go for a Turf War.

The Savage Deviljho's scales appear slightly darker than their regular counterparts', but their tailfangs are also blood-red in colour.

Deviljho is a Brute Wyvern introduced in Monster Hunter 3. Deviljho is a very large, bipedal Brute Wyvern characterized by its uniform forest green coloration and muscular upper body. Its thick hide is littered with short, jagged spines that reach a maximum height along the back and tail. Deviljho has a narrow snout with a large lower jaw, covered in multiple rows of teeth spreading outwards from the mouth. It has massive, powerful hind legs, but tiny, poorly developed forelegs that it rarely utilizes. When enraged, Deviljho's back and shoulder muscles swell considerably revealing scars. During this period, areas of its skin will take on a bright red coloration. Deviljho is armed with a powerful set of jaws that it can use to deliver bone-crunching bites to prey and foe alike.

His AOE breath to the ground means guarding and tanking isn't viable since it goes through guarding even with Guard Up. This is a really cool monster though.
