I received an email from Los Gatos Power, but it was somewhat vague, directing me to their website for more info. The product is pretty self-explanatory. Right now there are 2 adapters available — one for Dewalt 20V Max power tools, and one for Makita 18V, and a Milwaukee M18 adapter is said to be in the works. This is something that readers have asked about a number of times now. I believe there to be 2 reasons, maybe more. First, cordless tools offer cordless convenience.

DeWALT attempted this with the old 24v line. It never stuck, but I do agree it would be a nice feature for certain applications. So was this 24v adapter discontinued? Looks huge with the cooling fan inside. I guess it's the amps required to run the tool. I could definitely use something like this. I have all my packs 10 in my van at all times charged the day before but some of them don't last too long and are on their last legs. There have been a few situations when I'm on the jobsite where a corded reciprocating saw or corded circular saw would have been handy.

My fool proof solution was to buy one, or in my case two or three of each tool. Routing, Sanding, planing, core drilling, concrete breaking etc. Paste as plain text instead.

Also for lithium battery powered tools, there is a complicated hand shake between the battery pack and tool electronics that most likely was not duplicated fully for proper tool operation. Tin the connection point before trying to solder on wire and tin the wire 7. It would have less bulk. Or try my luck and wait for 3 years for the price to drop to the cost of a battery pack. I Was hopeful there would have been a review on this power supply by now. It might have made more sense when battery packs were 2Ah or 3Ah. Or a boatload of batteries like you mentioned. Skil had this on tools in the late 90s early 00s. I like the idea, but not a fan of the power brick. And what if they no longer make them?? I just hope they catch on that some of us need it for the 20v units as well. Also not with only a 10 foot cord. Reply to this topic

Found a lower price?

I could definitely use something like this. Edit: Chug more than 4 batteries in the time it takes to charge a battery, which is the real metric on cordless tools. I was literally 2 foot from an outlet and was going through 2 batts before one would charge.
