Divinity: Original Sin 2 has been out for a while now, but that doesn't mean players aren't still trying to figure it out. One of the hardest things to figure out when starting a new game is what type of character to choose. Undead seems cool, but they don't play like a normal flesh and blood character. How do they work? What skill do you possibly choose to complement a skeleton?

When the game said "being undead has it's own unique risks and challenges etc" I really thought it would be more difficult, like only being able to wear headgear that covers my entire head and face, having to wear full clothing sets at all times, and not letting people touch me like shaking my hand or hugging me. Even the skull at the start says "people don't like looking at their future" but so far I have no had a single problem being undead. No one you meet in the story really cares that you are undead. None of the companions care that you're a skelly.

Undead are beings denied rest in Hall of Echoes. Either brought back through necromancy or by other means, undead are cursed beings who have to roam the world until they are destroyed or somehow released. Most of the time the less intelligent undead serve as expendable slaves to the necromancers who have created them. An undead's appearance depends on the state of the body and the magical power the being once had during its life as well as how it became undead: either naturally, by dealing in necromancy or alchemy or by being cursed. The term 'undead' is a collective name for many different "species". The most common species are zombies, skeletons, ghouls and creatures.

Fane is arguably one of the most interesting characters in Divinity: Original Sin 2. Fane also has some interesting quirks and abilities that make him a unique fighter. These can be combined with a number of interesting builds that really expand upon his talents and make him a strong character.
