Does misato like shinji

Voltlighter - Dec 10, Voltlighter - Dec 17,

They are both desperate for love of some kind and they find each other. I started rereading the manga and I realized the Shinji has that same kind of relationship with someone else. You read the title. Let me see: his mother was subsumed somehow by a prototype EVA unit; his father is a cold user willing to sacrifice anything and anyone to get his lost wife Yui back. Shinji was raised by an uncle and aunt who were distant and unsupportive, and who never made an effort to contact him once he was brought to Tokyo Her mother never appears and her father died with the Katsuragi Expedition.

Now to start, this is my first ever post where I actually go in depth detail and analyze deep philosophical from an anime called Evangelion. Now today Q and A question is very interesting and of course, controversial, especially for you Evangelion fans out there Now I know what you guys are thinking.. There are many way to consider this, and there is really no concrete answer to determine their relationship. So in this case, I will give you guys all the possibilities that might shed some light into their character. Also, I am no way the person who ship this relationship, there are ton of fanfic on Misato x Shinji, they are interesting to read news. Anyway I hope you guys enjoy this post and look forward to see what you guys think. The Evangelion series is a wonderful and classic deconstruction of the Mecha series from the great Hideki Anno. All of these characters are completely fresh out and very layers. Humanity last hope are dependent on these pilots who can pilot these mech called Eva to fight against the Angel. However the pilots who carry humanity burden are suffering their own trauma as well, and as the worse threat arrive, the more their trauma are open for the world to see. We have the protagonist Shinji Ikari, a 14 year old boy who is task to pilot Eva unit 3, who also suffer from a psychological problem of the Hedgehog complex. Same as the character of Rei, who influenced many emotionless doll like character.

The relationship is doom to fail, not just personal but societal as well. Her feelings are complex, but they include the familial.

There's a belief that the more you're attached to someone of the opposite sex, the more you start to let romantic feelings get in the way. What if you are a year-old woman who is secretly frustrated with life? What if the person who can help ease your pain is possibly a year-old boy? When you look at the relationship between Shinji Ikari and Misato Katsuragi , it is probably one of the wackiest relationships in Neon Genesis Evangelion. What happens between the two poses interesting debates on gender stereotypes and empathy towards good people that commit unethical acts.

Instead of being loud and overconfident, he's quiet and self-loathing. His arc is also a subversion of the hero's journey; things just keep getting worse and worse for him, and it doesn't take long for his already fragile ego to crack. One of Evangelion 's themes is the nature of human relationships and how we as individuals can never truly know other people. Though not all of them make things worse, many of Shinji's relationships only exacerbate his problems. Evangelion relies on visual symbolism to convey its ideas. If these symbols aren't rooted in Christianity, odds are they're instead rooted in Freudian psychology. For those unaware, Sigmund Freud coined "the Oedipus complex," named after the Greek tragedy where the titular character kills his father and marries his mother. Shinji's relationship with his father Gendo fits. All of Shinji's problems stem from never receiving parental love at a life stage where it's needed. In the end, Shinji is too scared to either forgive or hate Gendo, while Gendo's indifferent standoffish behavior conceals his own fears about fatherhood.

Misato and Shinji have one of the deepest, most heavily implied, and one of the most confusing relationships in the Evangelion series. Though trying to act as a guardian, she ends up openly flaunting her sexuality in a way in which provokes response from Shinji. The two exist on far enough planes from each other to promote enough bewilderment to make for a difficult yet truly intriguing relationship until the onset of Instrumentality, in which the full strata of their relationship are unearthed. Shinji first meets Misato not in person, but through and invitation photograph that Misato sends him.

Maybe it's okay for me to be here! Love and Peace!!! So is the compendium of posts from this blog, Samurai Storyteller. But maybe I can learn to love myself. And you're still that 14 yo kid. Nope, no one loves Shinji. Hell no. The Shoes. It's a complex case though, I guess you could make the argument that she does but I think it's forever suppose to remain ambiguous. Post by Reichu » Sat Nov 17, pm I'm curious as to why, given the apparently harsh treatment Shinji received afterward, he was salvaged by Wille at all.

Also, I am no way the person who ship this relationship, there are ton of fanfic on Misato x Shinji, they are interesting to read news. I wonder if Misato has "real" romantic feelings for anyone actually. To make amends of ending humanity? Jun 3, PM. Does she love Shinji in the same way she loved Kaji? What is the meaning behind Misato and Shinji relationship? It's suppose to be an older sister relationship. Of course, just look at me. I'm me, nothing more, nothing less! Would a relationship emerge between the two of them? As Misato notes, she basically failed at being Shinji's mother. I disagree, Misato tried to be a mother to Shinji but she failed at it. Life itself should be exalted. Post by Shinoyami65 » Sat Nov 17, pm If they wanted to keep Shinji they should have tried not to alienate him so much, that's why he went over to Gendo in the first place.
