Since G'iah averted a missile strike that would have caused international turmoil, Gravik's next plan is to assassinate the President of the United States played by Dermot Mulroney and make the whole affair look like the Russians committed the act. Thankfully, Nick Fury Samuel L. Jackson and Talos Ben Mendelsohn are there to stop him. With gunfire and explosions galore, both sides appear to take major casualties. Both of the helicopters Gravik brings are taken down, and the President is kept alive despite a nasty car crash. But there's one problem: he's stuck upside down in an overturned car. Talos takes the lead, punching at the window to get the leader out of the vehicle.
It's true that we see Talos' true Skrull face when Gravik stabs him, but we don't get a clear look at him after the villain lets him fall to the ground.
The series sees a weathered Nick Fury Samuel L. Jackson and a small group of allies banding together to try to get a Skrull invasion under control. This means we get a more human perspective on the extraterrestrial issues plaguing the Marvel universe. Unfortunately, this time, the series has completely missed the mark, backing itself into a narrative corner.
